Paco Gomes fuses western modern dance with his deeply entrenched Brazilian roots to create multi-cultural, multi-faceted dance. Life and art are inextricably tied, as Paco straddles two cultures, uniquely expressing his diverse experiences through dance.
Presenting Paco’s San Francisco based company “Paco Gomes and Dancers,” the film follows the company to Paco’s homeland Bahia, Brazil, where connections are made with local artist, children and the people of Bahia.
There are many challenges for Paco but the rewards outweigh the difficulties. One thing remains: a passion for dance and a commitment to who and what he loves.
